I retired from Corporate life in 2003. I wanted to be a jewelry artist. I am a jewelry artist and you can find my creations at The Wine Shop as well. I have been interested in wine for a long time and seem to have a knack for it. I spent four years working at a wine shop on Camano Island. I decided it was time to graduate from Wine College and open my own shop. I welcome you to my dream. Please don't let me wake up.
I grew up in Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University. I moved to Dallas TX and lived there for 8 years. I love the Northwest and decided to move here in 1988. Michael and I met while working at Mt. Rainer National Park. After our gig at Mt. Rainer, I was a District Manager for a national healthcare information company until retirement in 2003. Too much "corporate" and not enough fulfillment led me to change my focus to more pleasurable life goals, like art, wine, animals and nature.
Michael Estes, my husband,makes an occasional appearance at the shop. Michael is an IT Security Analyst at Nordstrom. Michael's palate tends more towards earthy (read: dirt) wines (Carmenere, Pinotage, Malbec) if you agree, ask him for Michael's Picks. He will be delighted to help you.
Our Family: We currently have 2 dogs, Gretchen and Willy and 2 cats, Leo & Max. We love them very much.
