James W. Smith, Church Consultant has been involved with assisting churches for more than ten years. He served as Moderator of his church association and in this position he was able to get adopted a constitution and bylaws for the association. He implemented the preliminary stages for the commencement of a building program to include both structural and recreational facilities. He served as Moderator of Moderators for the General Baptist State Convention of NC, Inc. where he was instrumental in giving more visibility to the position, established the first Moderator of Moderators' column in the Baptist Informer and instituted Legal Awareness and Conflict Resolution workshops for Pastors and churches within the associations. He has constantly been called to moderate, mediate, consult, lead workshops and seminars, provide leadership training, provide forms for church use and assist with preparation of bylaws and 501(c)(3) documents. The company was founded to meet the unsolved needs of churches who need assistance in these areas. James W. Smith earned a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camila, GA. He did addidtional studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC; Shaw Divinity School, Raleigh, NC. He serves as President of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Durham and Vicinity, Durham, NC and Pastor of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Bahama, NC. He has consulted with and/or assisted many churches in conducting seminars and workshops on Pastors/Deacons relationships, Church Conflict Resolutions and Legal Awareness Issues, Baptist Polity and Church Leadership.
